Donna Summer – Rumor Has It/I love You

Get on up!, Happy Upbeaty Positivity

Late nights listening to the Queen of Disco. Flashbacks to the 70s.

“There’s a rumour, there’s a rumour

Rumour has it

Rumour has it all around the town
Someone’s looking for a girl like me
Where can she be found
I hope it’s who I think it is
I wonder if it’s really him
It’s got to be the man I love
No one else but him

Rumour has it

They say he’s gonna make this girl his everything
He’s gonna love her and surround her
With all those beautiful things
It was the most wonderful moment in my life I had
My life ended on that evening
I lost him, Lord it hurt so bad

Rumour has it

You never know just what you’ve wont until you’ve lost
And the object of the game is not to pay the cost
Anyone can play the game, there are no rules
And you never know just what you’ve won until you lose

There’s a rumour, there’s a rumour
Rumour has it
There’s a rumour, there’s a rumour
Rumour has it, rumour has it
There’s a rumour, there’s a rumour
Such a rumour

I know he’s gonna find me
I know this was meant to be
Well you can change a lot of things in your life
But not your destiny
And when you find the best thing in life has come to you
Hold it in your hand real tight or it may slip through

There’s a rumour, there’s a rumour

You never know just what you’ve won until you’ve lost
And the object of the game is not to pay the cost
Anyone can play the game, there are no rules
And you never know just what you’ve won until you lose
And you never know just what you’ve won until you lose

There’s a rumour, there’s a rumour
Rumour has it…”

“Well he searched and searched for nights and days

Till he found the one he loved
And he wrapped her in his arms again
And then he thanked the stars above
That he found what he’d been looking for
And he stared her in the eyes

He said “I love you”
He said “I love you”
Love you, love you

She stared him right back in the eyes
With a look of disbelief
Then she gazed off into somewhere else
Was it real or just a dream?
And she pulled him, oh so close to her
And she whispered in his ear

She said “I love you”
She said “I love you too”
Love you, love you, love you

So together they will always be
Until the stars fall from the sky

They said “I love you”
Yes, I really do
They said “I love you”
Yes, I do
I do, I do, I do, I do

So together they will always be
Until the stars fall from the sky
So if you find someone you love a lot
You must never let them go
You just hold them tight with all your might
And you say three little words

You say “I love you”

For the Pirates: Music of the High Seas

Get on up!

I wanted to show some love to two composers who do a great job on making music that captures the essence of being a Pirate and selling in the Caribbean.

One of them is Brian Tyler who composed music for one of the best pirate games, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. He’s also done a lot work for big hollywood movies such as Iron Man 3 and The Expendables. He makes amazing use of drums.

Bear McCreary helps captures the feeling of sailing on the high seas for the show, Black Sails.  He also composes for The Walking Dead. He doesn’t mind incorporating some heavy guitar into pieces such as with the theme of Black Sails.

If you haven’t seen Black Sails, You should definitely check it out. It gets better with every episode. The Cast and Production Designer do a great job. First season was a bit slow, but the 2nd season will blow you right out the water. I can’t believe i’m cosigning something Michael Bay (executive producer) is involved in, but he and Starz are doing well with this series. It’s still pretty underrated as of now. It has the potential to be one of the shows everyone watches, so check it out.

“I don’t like shit, I don’t go outside”

Coming Down, New Music

Word’s out that Earl Sweatshirt has a new album coming titled “I don’t like shit, I don’t go outside.” It’s up on iTunes for now and you can get the first single, Grief.

Earl is livid about this right now. Apparently It wasn’t suppose to be rolled out yet according to his twitter. https://twitter.com/earlxsweat

Dorothy Moore – What is this?

Happy Upbeaty Positivity

“What is this?” Just a little a gospel to end your Sunday night too.

“What is this?
Got me feeling so good right now
What is this?
Make me wanna run on anyhow
Whatever it is,
I just can’t hold my peace

What is this?
They say I’m acting strange
What is this?
Make me love to call God’s name
Whatever it is
Oh I just can’t hold my peace

I know It makes me love my enemies.
Lord, It makes me…
Makes me love my friends…
And it won’t let me be ashamed
to tell the world that I been born again…”
